Light film and dumb film
For album printing, sample printing, brochure printing, and single-page printing, laminating is sometimes chosen, and laminating is divided into light and matt films. Usually, most customers don’t understand what a light film is and what a matt film is;
Light film,
The surface is bright, it is easy to see the reflection; the light film is a layer of waterproof plastic film, after covering the light film, it can be waterproof, extending the use time of the printed matter. The light film is very transparent and has almost no effect on the color of the ink. However, some customers don’t like its reflection. For example, the light film can easily interfere with the line of sight, so it is usually not recommended.

Matte film,

the surface is not reflective, it has a matte texture. The texture of the dumb film is thicker, and usually the dumb film is more expensive than the light film. The dumb film is more expensive than the light film.
The film can protect the paper, but the film is also particular, and the price of the light film and the dumb film are also different.

Another process is partial coating, that is, the usual UV, partial oiling and so on. Our factory has been printing for so many years. As a result, a variety of orders have been met by customers requesting single-page and folding single-sided lamination. Such printed matter is usually easy to curl up and become uneven. Therefore, double-sided lamination is usually recommended, but this depends on the needs of customers.
However, dumb film will affect the color, such as human skin color and strictly required corporate standard colors, it is not recommended to use dumb film.
Light film and dumb film are the two most common processes, and are usually a bonus item for printed matter.
